A higher, more rigorous set of standards.
When we set out to build Sonim phones, we realized that there were no standards outlining what defines an “ultra-rugged” mobile device. Understanding that this was a critical missing element in our industry, we set out to create a set of standards all rugged devices must live up to.
The result was 12 benchmarks of endurance and mobility known as Sonim Rugged Performance Standards (RPS). Sonim’s RPS are based on over ten years of feedback from customer usage in the world’s most extreme environments. Every Sonim device is designed and built with RPS in mind to meet the most punishing, demanding, exacting standards in the industry.
What our customers are saying...
“We chose the Sonim XP8 because it is rugged, simple, has a long-lasting battery, accessories, and is purpose built,” said Andresen. “We can count on Sonim. They’re also an Android driven device, so there is a familiarity already. We got LMR, hot-spot, and a phone all in one package that does not break easily and is dependable.”
“The phones take a beating daily and have performed very well overall. We like most that they are still in service and have made equipment warranty issues and replacement devices a secondary in-season concern. We recently had a tourist fish out a Sonim device lost on a JetSki patrol in mid 2019. We dried the device off and turned it on to find it fully functioning after a year of being underwater.”
“I will attest to the fact that in the six months we have had these devices, I have not received a single call from our employees regarding a phone problem,” Davidson said. “That is huge to our company. If I could give it 100 stars I would.”
